These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Spellaroo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Spellaroo.

The service

Spellaroo is an online spelling practice tool for children. It provides read-aloud word practice, definitions, example sentences and progress tracking. Some word lists are free and others require a paid pass.

Accounts

  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password secure.
  • Accounts for children should be created and supervised by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for all activity under the account.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Payments and access

  • The seasonal pass is offered for A$29 and unlocks the full Junior and Senior word lists. Pricing is shown on the Pricing page and may change over time.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
  • Access is granted for the period described at purchase. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once access has been provided.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Copy, resell, or redistribute our content or word lists without permission.

Intellectual property

The Spellaroo name, content, word lists, definitions and example sentences are owned by us or our licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use within the service.

Disclaimer

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep content accurate and the service running, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Spellaroo is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
